In 1969, the States of Guernsey banknotes started featuring prominent people and landmarks on the reverse side of the notes, with the Guernsey lily and the Bailiwick of Guernsey seal on the front. From 1980 onwards, De La Rue is the official Guernsey pound banknotes printer. Queen Elizabeth II started gracing Guernsey pound banknotes in 1994.

The States of Guernsey started issuing these 1 Guernsey Pound banknotes in 1991. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2006. This one pound note depicts Daniel De Lisle Brock, Channel Island bailiff of Guernsey. Text on the green colored paper banknote reads 'the States of Guernsey'.

This uncirculated 1 Guernsey pound note is introduced by the States of Guernsey in 1991 and signed by D.P. Trestain. It is a green, blue, purple, yellow, and brown note that measures 128 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side features the Guernsey lily, olive branches, the seal of Bailiwick, and a portrait of the 1830 Market Square. Its reverse side features the 1840 Royal Court building in St. Peter.
